Alnwick Castle

Alnwick Castle

Alnwick Castle in Northumberland is the home of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland.
The first part of the castle was built in 1096 and the castle has been added to and modified several times over the years.
The castle is used for a variety of purposes including the making of Hollywood films such as Harry Potter and most recently one of the Transformers series as well internationally popular TV series such as Downton Abbey.
800,000 people visit the castle every year and the renowned landscape gardener Capability Brown designed adjacent parks.
