Cumbria - Mayburgh Henge.
Mayburgh Henge is a circular bank up to 15 feet (6.5m) in height and with a diameter of about 383 feet (117m) and was built up with stones taken from nearby rivers and is unique amongst henges in that respect.
There is one remaining standing stone out of four which were situated in the centre of the circle and a further four stood at the entrance.
There have been Neolithic tools found at this site, dating it from 2000 to 4500 BC.
The M6 motorway runs close to the Mayburgh Henge.
