St Aiden's Church Bamburgh


St Aiden's Church, Bamburgh.

The origins of St Aidens Church in Bamburgh date from 635 AD when St. Aiden came to Lindisfarne from Iona. The present building dates back to the 13th century,and is situated near to Bamburgh Castle.
The chancel is said to be the second longest in the country at 60ft.
