Burradon Tower, Burradon, Tyne and Wear.
Burradon Tower is the ruins of a three story tower house, it is 7.5 metres or around 25 feet tall, not big enough to be called a castle. It is surrounded by tall sycamore trees which gives the house a gloomy feel, this tower had three floors each with a single chamber room. The earliest documented mention of this building (also sometimes called a pele tower) is 1569, no firm construction date is known.
There is also evidence of a tunnel leading from the house, although it's destination is unknown as much of it has collapsed.
