Church of St Thomas the Martyr, Newcastle.
The Anglican Church of St Thomas the Martyr is one of the most prominent places of Christian worship in Newcastle. The church is dedicated to Saint Thomas Becket, who was killed by 4 knights in 1170 on the mistaken belief they were acting out the wishes of King Henry the Second.
Newcastle architect John Dobson designed this church and it was built between 1827 and 1830.
