Newcastle's Grainger Market.
The existing Grainger Market was built in 1835 to replace existing markets on the nearby historic Grey St.
Grainger Market is a grade 1 listed building and was designed by John Dobson. Originally the market was divided into meat and vegetable stalls. Although the market has changed substantially since it was opened there are still a number of butchers here.
It is believed the smallest Marks & Spencer branch is here, known by it's original name of Marks & Spencer Penny Bazaar.
